An einem sonnigen Wintertag dampft eine Fowler 0-6-0 das Doniford Valley auf der West Sommerset Railway (WSR) hinauf. Mit  36.6km ist sie die längste Museumsbahn Englands. Sie führt am Fusse der Quantock Hills durch eine fast unberührte Landschaft der Grafschaft Somerset. Noch Minuten nach der Vorbeifahrt ist der C-Kuppler hörbar, wie er sich bei Crowcombe-Heatfield das Tal hoch kämpft. On a sunny winter day, LMS Fowler 0-6-0 steams up the Doniford Valley on the West Sommerset Railway (WSR). With 22.75 miles, it is the longest preserved railway in Britain. It runs at the foot of the Quantock Hills through an almost untouched landscape in the county of Somerset. Minutes after passing, the 0-6-0 is still heard as it fights the gradient at Crowcombe-Heatfield. Apart from hunters and hikers, I am the only human soul around. 29.12.2016
